Course Overview

MRI Physics Advanced moves beyond the foundations to explore how modern pulse sequences, sampling strategies and reconstruction methods shape clinical imaging. Learners examine sequence timing, refocusing behaviour, gradient echo and fast spin echo families, inversion recovery, echo-planar imaging, parallel imaging, compressed sensing and emerging reconstruction approaches.

The course continually links technical concepts back to protocol design, artefact control, patient factors and the clinical purpose of the examination.
